Brian John

Brian John is a graduate of the University of Georgia, School of Forest Resources (1998). Brian is an ISA Certified Arborist and a member of the Utility Arborist Association. He is a GA State Registered Forester and also holds a State of GA Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s license. Since 1999, Brian has worked as a utility arborist/forester for Georgia Power Company. In his first position with Georgia Power, he worked as a Distribution forester in the Metro Atlanta area. In his current position, he is responsible for the vegetation management on Transmission rights-of-way in Northeast and Central Georgia. Brian and his wife, Christa, currently reside in Bishop, Georgia just south of Athens. They have a 9 year old son and a 6 year old daughter.
Craig Faulk

Craig is currently employed by Asplundh Tree Expert Company supervising tree trimming and re-clearing operations for multiple utilities in Georgia. He began his career in the right of way management industry in Alabama in 1987. He has an Associate Degree from George C. Wallace S.C.C. in Dothan, Alabama. He has been living and working in Georgia since 2003. Craig became an ISA Certified arborist in 2001 and holds a Georgia Commercial Pesticide License in ROW
Mike Williams

Mike is the Asstistant Operation Manager in Georgia For Townsend Tree Service. Mike has been working in the Utility R/W Vegetation Management Industry for 32 yrs, contracting with various Utilities throughout Georgia. He is an ISA Certified Arborist, Qualified Line Clearance Arborist and a licensed Ga. Pesticide Applicator. Mike is also a member of the Urban Forest Council, the National Arbor Day Foundation, and the ISA in Georgia and has lived and worked in Georgia all of his life. Mike has been happily married for 32 yrs and he and his wife are the proud parents of 2 sons.
Mark Dennis

Mark graduated from the West Telfair Academy and began his electric utility career as a first class lineman with Little Ocmulgeee EMC. In his 18 years at Little Ocmulgee, he also held the positions of purchasing agent and safety coordinator. In 1999 Mark joined Georgia Rural Electric Supply Corporation where he is currently employed as a sales representative. Mark holds certifications for Safety and Truck Inspections and has lived and worked in Georgia his entire life.
Jody Nelson

Jody, a native of Brunswick, Georgia, received his Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia in 1994. Jody is a registered forester with the State of Georgia, International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist and a licensed commercial pesticide applicator with the State of Georgia. Jody has worked in the field of utility right-of-way management since 1998. Currently Jody is the System Forester for Georgia Transmission Corporation.
Dan McMillan

Dan is the territory manager for GA and SC for Crop Production Services/Timberland Division. He has been involved in the agricultural and industrial herbicide business since 1976. He is a member of the SC and GA Vegetation Management Associations, the SC Aquatic Plant Management Society and the International Society of Arborists. Dan is a Certified Pesticide Applicator holding a commercial license for the state of GA, and is a Certified Arborist with the ISA. He is a past president and current board member of the GVMA and was instrumental in getting the GVMA established having been involved since it’s beginning. Jamie Grantham

Jamie is currently employed at Flint Energies as Assistant right of way manger. He has worked as an apprentice lineman for Sumter EMC and as a foreman on right of way crew for 14 years. Jamie is an ISA certified arborist utility specialist and a licensed pesticide applicator. He is a graduate of the electrical hazard awareness program offered by the national arborist association and completed the TVPPA lineman program. Jamie as been called on many times to assist with hurricane damaged areas and has worked as an instructor in GEMC’s right of way training program. Jamie is married to Melissa and they live in Ellaville, GA.
Eddy Yarbrough

Eddy Yarbrough has been employed at Sawnee EMC for 22 years, with 19 of those years in the right of way department. Eddy is an ISA Certified Arborist and an ISA Utility Specialist. He has been married for 17 years and has two daughters that are 14 and 18 years of age. Eddy is currently the Right of Way Specialist for Sawnee EMC and handles all of the right of way maintenance activities.
Phillip Scarborough

Phillip Graduated from ABAC in Tifton Georgia with an Associate Degree in Agriculture Engineering and the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Agriculture. Phillip worked with the USDA Soil Conservation Service from 1978 until 1983. He then worked for Thiele Kaolin Company from 1983 until 1989 in the Land Department. In 1989, Phillip started his career with The Department of Transportation as a drafter. He was then promoted to District Environmentalist in 1993. He worked as District Environmentalist until March of 2004. Phillip served as the District Roadside Enhancement Manager for District Two, which includes twenty eight counties in East Central Georgia, until February 2007. Phillip is currently the District Environmental Compliance Engineer in charge of all vegetation management in District Two. Phillip has a Commercial Pesticide Applicators License and is a Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Level 1 Certified Professional Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor as well as a Department of Transportation Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Worksite Supervisor

Tom graduated from West Virginia University in 1978 with a B.S. in Wood Science/ Wood Industries. He began employment with a Wood Technology Consulting Firm located in Ft. Collins, Colorado from 1978 until 1987. He then joined Osmose in the Spring of 1987 and is currently Director – Sales with responsibilities mainly in Georgia and SE Tennessee. Jason Sellers

Jason is the Region Manager for GA, FL, AL and the Carolinas for Edko,LLC. He graduated Stephen F. Austin State University in 1998 with a Masters of Science in Forestry degree. He worked in the Forestry and Wildlife Management Consulting field for 8 years before transitioning to ROW vegetation management with Edko in 2006. Jason is a member of the Georgia and Florida Vegetation Management Associations, the Alabama Vegetation Management Society, and the International Society of Arboriculture. Jimmy Norman

Jimmy Norman has been in the power distribution industry for more than 25 years. He started out doing contract line work then took a job as a lineman with the Water, Gas and Light Commission of Albany GA in 1989. He is currently the Light Director and is in charge of all Light Department Operations including Vegetation Management. Jimmy is an ISA Certified Arborist and has been on the GVMA Board since 2008. Jimmy also serves on the Georgia Lineman’s Rodeo Executive Committee and is the 1st Vice President of the Southwest Georgia Sportsman Club. He is married and the proud parent of a step-daughter and twin sons.

Before joining Dow early in 2001, he spent 10 years selling and marketing Monsanto products in the Aquatic, Turf and Utilities markets. Chris, A native of Vidalia, Georgia, received his Associates of Applied Science in Forest Management from Swainsboro Technical College in 2000. He is a licensed commercial pesticide applicator with the State of Georgia and an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist. Chris has worked in the fields of forest and right-of-way management for 11 years, specializing in the use of herbicides. Currently Chris is the Right-of-Way Supervisor for Diverse Power Incorporated in LaGrange, Georgia. Chris and his wife of 10 years, Kymberly, reside in LaGrange with their daughter, Faith.
